The game itself is pretty solid and from what I've seen on the frontpage promo, there's still a lot of potential in terms of mechanics.

I'm a bit confused as to why the levels are unlocked in an advent calendar format though, it leaves the first day lacking and the final day a full game. Unless there's another layer to this we haven't seen yet, I don't know why it couldn't have just been released as a normal christmas themed game

One of the main reasons are the highscores. The levels can be speedran and your scores are automatically submitted to Newgrounds, so you can check the scoreboard to see where you placed. Every day there will be a new level, which means a new level to speedrun!

Nice concept, feels a bit weird to control but I like the whole holding space thing, can add a whole layer of timing to the thing. Was pretty short though, probably my biggest complaint

Also noticed during the last bit before the end screen, after dying a couple times the first shooter thing just disappeared, don't think it's intentional so it might be a bug

The art and music are nothing short of great, but I've noticed there's a lot of problems regarding the attack, if you tap J twice the character seems to remain unresponsive unless you refresh, same goes for attacking while moving

Playing it again, it seems like attacking will sometimes just leave your character unresponsive until you die, or is there a mechanic I'm missing?

There have been many reports of this being a prevalent bug on the Firefox version, please try it on Edge or Chrome and DM me of any other issues.

Love the style of the game, and I like how steadily the difficulty progression is handled

Is it intentional that some of the medals don't have points though? I'm assuming it's not intentional

Do you mean points on the NG-side, where they are showing up as zero points here on this page? I'm seeing points for each of them on my end, not sure what's up there.

Cool game, really like the design of all the bosses and the sound effects and music really tie the whole thing together

there was a bug when I died, it faded to black and returned with a darkened screen with the stage I was on, music is still playing but there's no animation

The idea is pretty nice, but unfortunately some of the pieces don't make much sense. For example, the piece with the squares on every corner have a hitbox that acts like a whole square if you try and weave another one of those same pieces into it from the top. Also there's a bug where a piece can stuck at the top if you rotate it too much.

Aside from those couple of hiccups it's a pretty nice idea and I'd love to see it more fleshed out, maybe look for an artist to make the style a bit more lively too

Interesting idea, it's got a ton of potential but right now it's pretty barebones. The game reminds me a bit of GIRP, which kinda has the same sort of idea here. I think applying some ideas from GIRP might help flesh this game out a bit, like being able to choose a difficulty, maybe like a more aggressive timer in the form of an obstacle. I Keep going back to GIRP but the feature they use is a rising tide.

Would be interesting to see how this pans out but despite it being a little bit buggy and awkward it's still got a ton of potential, nice work dude
